Today, we walked by as a whole slew of production people prepared for Barbie’s Dream Closet.
This installation will be the largest dollhouse ever built (according to these guys) and will show off Barbie’s closet. Girls of all ages can come in and try on all the wonderful clothes that “belong” to Barbie. From haute couture to surfer chic to tutus, there is bound to be something for every gal. Plus TONS of pink shoes. And pink sparkles. And pink carpets. And pink…well, if you know Barbie, you know there will be pink.
Basically, this is Bella’s dream come true. Guess what we’ll be doing bright and early Sunday morning when this shindig opens for the public (across the street from our apartment, nonetheless)??? Yup, we’ll be first in line to get into Barbie’s Dream Closet. All I can say is I can’t wait to see Bella’s face. The pictures will be priceless.
If you’re in the area, come on down! The installation is open Sunday Feb. 12 and Monday Feb. 13 9am–10pm, David Rubenstein Atrium (at Lincoln Center). All ages. Free.
