I can’t believe my little girl is three today. The years are starting to go in fast forward and I know that it will all go faster and faster as these girls get older. I’m trying to appreciate the moments and really enjoy them now because I know it will all become a blur soon enough.
I’m trying not to focus on the annoyances (can we say terrible two/three??? I have a very willful child who speaks her mind ALL. THE. TIME and has an opinion on everything). In general, this is a wonderful kid who eats, plays, hugs, kisses, laughs, and jumps into things 100%. She is smart, knows how to make people laugh but has a deep and serious side that’s incredible. So, some morning, she makes me nuts as she looks through her ENTIRE closet to pick out her outfit. I need to just, “Let it go!” Oh, Elsa…your words are fitting for so many situations…
Speaking of Elsa, my three year old can recite the entire Frozen movie by heart. She loves to sing along to the soundtrack. Each morning, Anya’s cute voice accompanies us on our way to camp. I love it. She is bilingual. She loves to count. Her stories are hilarious (and mostly made up). She does somersaults. She jumps into the pool. She kicks the ball like she’s showing off for Beckham. She draws and paints. She LOVES burgers and mac n cheese and broccoli and string beans. Mostly, she loves chocolate and candy.
I’m so excited to watch her develop. I know it’s an exciting road ahead.
